Judge blocks White House from placing 2,200 USAID employees on leave

USAID workers who were set to be placed on leave Friday were given a reprieve by a federal judge who granted a preliminary injunction. Unions representing those workers sued the government over the abrupt attempted shutdown of the agency. This comes as the Department of Government Efficiency is preparing to take action at the Education Department, which Trump has threatened to shut down.
