Federal government shutdown starts to hit workers' paychecks

The federal government shutdown is heading into its third week, and now it’s starting to affect the paychecks of government workers. For many, Friday’s paychecks will be smaller. They’ll also be the last paychecks until Congress agrees on a spending package for the current fiscal year.
