The most recent fatal shooting was around 2:30 a.m., when two men were shot in the West Englewood neighborhood. Corey Hudson, 34, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other man was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in critical condition.
Two men, ages 34 and 35, were standing outside in the 2000 block of West 63rd Street about 2:37 a.m. when a black vehicle pulled up and someone inside opened fire, police said. The vehicle then drove off in an unknown direction.
Officers responding to a call of a person shot about 1:45 a.m. in the 7100 block of South Winchester Avenue found the 19-year-old in the street with gunshot wounds to the head and back.
