Chicago Police shot and killed a man early Sunday morning in West Englewood after they say he fired at them, reports WBBM's Nancy Harty.
Police said two 18-year-old men were shot around 9:20 a.m. in the 2000 block of West Marquette Road.
The latest homicide happened Thursday evening in the South Side Auburn Gresham neighborhood. At 5:22 p.m., officers responded to a call of shots fired and found the unresponsive 21-year-old man with gunshot wounds in the 7700 block of South Winchester Avenue, according to Chicago Police.
The man was shot in the buttocks about 7:40 p.m. in the 6600 block of South Justine in a possible drive-by, according to Chicago police.
About noon, a 61-year-old man was inside an establishment in the 6800 block of South Ashland Avenue when two men with guns walked in and announced a robbery, according to Chicago Police. At least one of them opened fire, hitting the 61-year-old in the ankle, police said.
The most recent fatal shooting happened Sunday night in the South Side Englewood neighborhood. Jimmy Jenkins, 28, was found unresponsive at 7:55 p.m. in a gangway in the 900 block of West 59th Street, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner's office.
The most recent homicide happened Sunday night in Englewood. Officers responding to a call of a person shot about 8:40 p.m. in the 5700 block of South Union found a 19-year-old man unresponsive on a sidewalk with gunshot wounds to the leg and chest, according to Chicago Police.
The homicide happened Saturday afternoon in the the Rogers Park neighborhood on the North Side. At 12:30 p.m., Eric Jordan, 25, was walking in the 1600 block of West Howard when someone walked up and shot him, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner's office.
The woman was walking on the sidewalk at 8:55 p.m. in the 2100 block of West Garfield Boulevard when a male came up behind her and cut her head and the right side of her neck before running away, according to Chicago Police.
