It won't be anybody in a suit, but somebody's going somewhere.
"This year wasn't acceptable," executive John Paxson says.
None of this is good, other than it being over.
The Bulls moving on from Butler is vague speculation right now, but it shouldn't be dismissed outright.
There's no sense that general manager Gar Forman is watching the same games as us.
"We value Pau," Forman says of not trading the a movable asset off a downward-trending team.
It's critical that Bulls management is honest with themselves as the trade deadline approaches.
Health is once again a big worry, and opportunity awaits Doug McDermott and Niko Mirotic.
"We don't feel like there's going to be any distraction," Forman says.
The same cast of characters has returned -- pass the popcorn!
Butler's a $95-million man and must carry a larger burden for Chicago.
The Bulls want free agent Mike Dunleavy back.
"Jimmy's a huge, huge part of what we're doing," Forman says.
"He's a guy we really think fits our team and the makeup of our team," GM Gar Forman said.
The NBA Draft is Thursday evening, and Chicago is armed with just one pick -- No. 22 overall.
Here's more evidence to show the Bulls were all in on Fred Hoiberg for a long time.
"This is a perfect fit," Bulls GM Gar Forman says.
The Tom Thibodeau divorce and subsequent politicking made Hoiberg's hire uncomfortable.
Hoiberg wants to add a veteran assistant coach to his staff.
A former Bulls guard, Hoiberg comes to Chicago after five years of coaching Iowa State.
We can relate to Thibodeau and empathize with him.
"There has to be a situation where you can have open dialogue," John Paxson says.
GM Gar Forman admitted the Bulls already have an "informal" list in mind of coaching candidates.
Reinsdorf showed he's on the same page as Bulls management.
