The 23-year-old was in an alley in the 1100 block of West 51st Street about 7:30 p.m. when someone approached him, pulled out a handgun and started firing, police said.
The shooting happened at Horan Park in the 3000 block of West Van Buren at 10:36 a.m., according to police.
The bandit is described as a black woman 30-40, about 5-foot-3 to 5-foot-5 with medium to long dark hair, according to the FBI. She has been seen wearing a large floppy straw hat, sunglasses and either a green jacket, tan cardigan or light gray hoodie.
Brandon D. Phillips, 22; Shawn Johnson, 24; Adam J. Miller, 25; and Adam A. Talley, 22, are each charged with one felony count of reckless discharge of a firearm, according to Matteson police. All may also face additional charges, police said.
