It's the third major knee injury of Rose's NBA career.
Rose was a limited participant in Tuesday's practice because of general lower body soreness.
It will go down as one of the NBA's better "What ifs?"
The Bulls match up well with the Bucks, but they have to get Derrick Rose right again.
Chicago won for the sixth time in its last seven games despite an awful performance for point guard Derrick Rose, who had eight points on 1-for-13 shooting.
Both players are ill.
Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. at the United Center.

Jimmy Butler added 19 points, Derrick Rose had 16, Mike Dunleavy Jr. 15, and Taj Gibson and Aaron Brooks came on strong in the fourth quarter to finish with 12 points apiece, helping Chicago win for the fifth time in six games.
