Highmore has recorded 82 points, including 32 goals, in 58 games this season for the Saint John Sea Dogs of the QMJHL.
Patrick Kane, last season's MVP, has a team-leading 27 goals -- scoring 12 times and adding seven assists in his last 11 games.
"He's still playing at a high level," general manager Stan Bowman says of Oduya.
Toews had five multi-point performances, including a hat trick on Feb. 21.
Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. at the United Center.
"We got to figure out where everybody is supposed to be out on the floor," Jimmy Butler says.
Oduya was a key member of Chicago's championship teams in 2013 and 2015.
It could be a pretty quiet trade deadline for the Blackhawks, and that's not necessarily bad.
Both are now under contract through the 2017-'18 season.
Toews had multi-point games three times last week.
