The Blackhawks nearly blew another lead Wednesday night at the United Center, but were able to hang on and beat the Dallas Stars 5-3.
The Blackhawks scored four goals within the first two periods dominating the Starts. Dallas gave the Hawks a scare with a three-goal attempted comeback in the second period, but Chicago put an end to that. Rookie Bryan Bickell scored an open net goal seconds before the game ended to ensure the victory.
Don't expect anymore fireworks between Dallas Stars forward Adam Burish and Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Chris Pronger.
Jeremy Morin and Rob Klinkhammer have been recalled from the Rockford IceHogs to take the place of injured players Patrick Kane and Marian Hossa. Hossa has been placed on Injured Reserve.
Adam Burish will return to the United Center for the first time since since the Stanley Cup Finals. However, this time he will do so as a visiting player and member of the Dallas Stars.
Adam Burish already has a list of former teammates he can't wait to go after Wednesday night when his new team visits the United Center to play the Blackhawks.
There's good news and bad news for Blackhawks fans. Head coach Joel Quenneville said Patrick Kane will be out "upwards to three weeks" with a lower body injury.
The injuries continue for the Blackhawks. Patrick Kane will miss three weeks due to the injury he suffered against the Calgary Flames.
Jeremy Morin has been making regular trips between Chicago and Rockford so far this season. And today he'll make another trip to the Blackhawks' AHL affiliate.
Despite Patrick Kane's early injury against Calgary that took him out of the game, the Blackhawks still dominated the ice. Both teams scored their goals during the first period with the exception of Bolland's goal just before the game's end.
