White Sox Recall RHP Erik Johnson
(CBS) The White Sox have called up right-hander Erik Johnson from Triple-A Charlotte, they announced Tuesday.
The move comes one day after Chicago's bullpen was needed to record the final 26 outs in a 7-0 loss to the Los Angeles Angels following a rough outing from left-hander Carlos Rodon. The 26-year-old Johnson was 0-1 with a 4.22 ERA and 1.31 WHIP in two starts at Triple-A this season.
Johnson was 3-1 with a 3.34 ERA and 1.40 WHIP in 35 innings for the White Sox in 2015.
The White Sox sent down outfielder J.B. Shuck to make room for Johnson.
