Watch: Kris Bryant Blasts Homer To Put Cubs Up Early In Game 6
(CBS) Cubs manager Joe Maddon has spent time and again during this World Series preached the importance of grabbing an early lead against an Indians team with a vaunted bullpen.
Third baseman provided it Tuesday night in Game 6, blasting a solo homer to left field on a hanging 0-2 curveball from Indians right-hander Josh Tomlin. It gave the Cubs a 1-0 lead, and they stretched that to 3-0 by the end of the first inning.
Bryant's homer went an estimated 433 feet.
