(CBS) For the second straight year, Bears general manager Phil Emery's first-round selection raised eyebrows.
The Bears selected offensive lineman Kyle Long out of Oregon with the 20th overall pick Thursday night, prompting an array of criticism from Bears' faithful.
Still, Emery and the Bears are confident they made the right decision.
"Kyle was the player that we targeted," Emery said after making the selection. "We targeted him for the last couple of weeks. He had to be gone for us to move back. We were not going to move off that spot if Kyle Long was still there."
