(WSCR) Even as they were on their way to a national title, there was trouble in paradise for the Crimson Tide.
With seven minutes to play in Monday's National Championship game and the Crimson Tide holding onto a comfortable, 42-14 lead, Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron and center Barrett Jones seemingly had a miscommunication that led to a slight altercation.
As McCarron called for the snap, Jones hesitated while pointing out a defensive scheme. McCarron was forced to burn a time out and proceed to berate his center on national television.
Jones, unhappy with the way he was treated, shoved McCarron back.
