Two Dead After Driver Of Stolen Car Crashes

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A Wisconsin woman suspected of stealing a car and driving on a suspended license, is blamed for a head-on crash that killed her and another driver over the weekend in the western suburbs.

Police say it all began on Saturday evening in Wheaton when 30-year-old Jennifer Liston, of Madison Wis., allegedly stole at 2003 Nissan Altima.

She was then involved in a minor hit-and-run accident in Geneva. When a Kane County Sheriff's Deputy tried to stop her, she fled.

She was reportedly driving over 100 mph on Route 38.

Police dropped the chase but Liston kept going into the town of Campton Hills. She then crashed into a vehicle driven by Zachary Bingham, 18, of Maple Park head-on at about 8:45 p.m.

Liston was pronounced dead at the scene while Bingham was transported to Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva and later flown to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove where he was pronounced dead, reports said.

The initial impact caused a chain-reaction collision that sent two other people in other cars to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
