Traffic Jammed On I-65 After Truck Accident
HOBART, Ind. (CBS) -- Two people were injured and two trucks caught fire Tuesday morning after three semi-trucks crashed in Northwest Indiana.
The crash shut down all northbound lanes, and police had opened one lane by 8:15 a.m.
The three semis crashed while traveling northbound on Interstate 65 near Ridge Road around 3:24 a.m., Indiana State Police said.
A driver and passenger in one of the trucks were transported to an area hospital, but details on their conditions were not immediately known.
About an hour and a half later, while fire crews were still clearing the crash, two of the trucks burst in to flames, police said.
All lanes on the interstate were blocked as of 7:10 a.m.
