Tice On Offensive Line: 'We're Looking At Everything'

(WSCR) Bears offensive line coach Mike Tice got the message.

After watching back-up quarterback Jason Campbell get sacked six times - 5.5 of which came from NFC Defensive Player of the Week Aldon Smith - against the 49ers on Monday night, Tice knows something needs to change.

So could that mean replacing tackles J'Marcus Webb and Gabe Carimi?

"We're looking at everything," Tice said Wednesday. "We've got to find a better way."

A few hours after Tice spoke Wednesday, the Bears announced guard Chilo Rachal had left the team for personal reasons and elevated rookie tackle James Brown from the practice squad.

Jay Cutler, who missed Monday's game while recovering from a concussion sustained against the Texans, said he's still uncertain if he'll play Sunday against the Vikings.

Things won't get any easier for the Bears offensive line as they'll face the wrecking ball that is Jared Allen at Soldier Field on Sunday.

"You're gonna have to help them," Cutler said of the line. "We're gonna have to do some stuff, protection-wise, chip, get the backs involved, the tight ends, be smart with our play-calling, try to limit second-and-long, third-and-long.
