CHICAGO (CBS) -- It's the first day of a new era as Chicago's classic rock station 97.9 has changed formats.
WLUP hit the airwaves in 1977 and became a mainstay in local radio.
It was sold to Education Media Foundation earlier this week.
It is now a contemporary Christian music station.
