Thayer: Bucs Are 'Tale Of Two Teams'
(WSCR) The Buccaneers are a young, 4-2 football team with a promising young quarterback who will likely take the franchise to the next level. But as Tampa Bay continues to fight through the growing pains, the Bears may have a slight advantage as the two teams travel to London to play the NFL's ninth game ever played outside of US soil.
Bears radio play-by-play man Tom Thayer think the inexperience of the Bucs will play into the Bears' favor.
"I see a young team that sometimes they're all on the same page, firing on the same cylinder," Tom Thayer told The Mully and Hanley Show on Friday. "They look good, aggressive, like they're having fun. But sometimes I see them mistimed offensively, not playing together on defense, young guys making mistakes, guys playing out of position. It's really the tale of two teams."

Not only will the young Bucs be flying across the Atlantic Ocean, they'll be missing out on a home game -- something that will again swing the edge to the Bears.
"If there is any type of advantage that can go to the Bears in this game, it would be taking (the Bucs) out of their home stadium," Thayer said. "They are very consistent at home. They're defense is very aggressive at home. They seem to have more of a comfort zone around them. So bringing them to London and making them play here, it's going to rid that immediate home field advantage and really make the neutral site no body's advantage."
