Report: Hawks' Carcillo Suspended Indefinitely For Hit
(CBS) The NHL has suspended Blackhawks' winger Daniel Carcillo indefinitiely for his hit from behind on the Oiler's Tom Gilbert in Monday night's loss.
As the Chicago Tribune reports, the suspension is on top of the left leg injury Carcillo suffered on the hit.
Hawks coach Joel Quenneville said the hit was not intended to be dirty.
"It's a quick moment when you're going for a counter-hit when you're fighting for a puck, and he probably had better leverage than the other guy," Quenneville said. "His intent certainly wasn't what happened."
