CHICAGO (CBS) -- State funding is flowing again for construction of the United Neighborhood Organization's newest charter school. WBBM's Bob Roberts explains.

Quinn To Ok Funding For New UNO School

Governor Quinn says that all agree that what is most important is a good education for the students who are supposed to attend UNO's new soccer academy high school this fall, but he is requiring changes before the money flows again.

There is a new entity, a new operation that is called IFF. They are a not-for-profit. They are experts at overseeing construction of schools. I worked with them when I was state treasurer," said Quinn.

Quinn says there will be no shenanigans tolerated. He halted funding after the Sun-Times revealed that UNO paid $8.5 million from the state grant to companies owned by brothers of UNO's second in command Miguel d'Escoto.
