Preckwinkle, Community Leaders Cut The Ribbon For New Hyatt Hotel, Formerly Old Cook County Hospital

CHICAGO (CBS) --  A spectacular revival in the Illinois Medical District as the old Cook County Hospital now transformed into two brand new hotels.

Cook County and city of Chicago leaders  were on hand for the ribbon cutting at the new Harrison Square Hyatt House Hotel Tuesday morning.

The old Cook County Hospital was replaced by Stroger Hospital in 2002. The historic building was the inspiration for the hit TV dramas St. Elsewhere" and "ER."
