Drunkenness, Fights Prompt Ban On Alcohol This Summer At Parts Of Porter Beach In Indiana
PORTER, Ind. (CBS) -- Drunken behavior and even assaults have forced a ban on alcohol at a beach in Northwest Indiana.
The ban affects a section of Porter Beach at Indiana Dunes National Park.
The beach remains open for normal recreation.
The ban will remain in place through Sept. 7. Local and park police presence will also be increased.
