Patrick Kane Named NHL's First Star Of The Week

(CBS) Blackhawks winger Patrick Kane has been named the First Star of the Week by the NHL after scoring four goals and three assists in four games this week.

Kane picked up his first career regular-season hat trick in a 4-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Friday. He currently leads the NHL in goals (29), assists (40) and points (69). Kane's scoring has helped the Blackhawks tie a franchise record with 11 straight victories.

Sam Bennett of the Calgary Flames was named Second Star, and Anze Kopitar of the Los Angeles Kings was named the Third Star.
