Protesters Oppose Vaccine And Mask Mandates
CHICAGO (CBS) -- While Illinois is seeing a decline in COVID-19 cases, the debate rages on about mask and vaccine mandates.
A large crowd gathered outside the Thompson Center Saturday to protest vaccine and mask mandates.
They carried signs expressing their opposition to mandates, saying those requirements are a violation of freedom and are hurting the economy.
Health officials say masks have been proven to slow or stop the transmission of COVID-19.
