CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man was stabbed Friday afternoon multiple times in the South Chicago neighborhood.

The man, believed to be in his 40s, was found stabbed multiple times at 4:06 p.m. near the intersection of 85th Street and Kingston Avenue, according to preliminary information from Chicago Police.

He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious condition, police said.
