Man Killed In Canaryville Motorcycle Crash

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was killed in a motorcycle crash in Canaryville on the South Side early Friday, police said.

About 1 a.m., Michael May, 43, lost control of the motorcycle he was riding in the 4300 block of South Wallace Street and "fell to the pavement," according to police and the Cook County medical examiner's office.

May, of the 500 block of West 28th Street, was taken to Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.

No one else was injured in the crash. The Police Major Accidents Investigation Unit is investigating.
