Man Charged With Murder Of 15-Year-Old Boy

CHICAGO (STMW) - A 20-year-old man was charged Saturday with the murder last September of a 15-year-old boy.

Shawn Rudolph, 20, of the 5700 block of S. Indiana Ave., was charged with one count of first degree murder, according to a release from police News Affairs.

Rudolph fired into a group of people standing on the 7200 block of South Hermitage Avenue just before midnight on Sept. 30, 2010, the release said.

A 15-year-old boy was shot in the head and died the next day, the release said.

Police investigating the crime determined that Rudolph was involved and arrested him Friday in the 6800 block of South Western Avenue, according to the release.

Rudolph is scheduled to appear Feb. 13 in bond court.
