Lewis Wins Another Term As CTU Chief
CHICAGO (STMW) -- The Chicago Teachers' Union has re-elected Karen Lewis to another term as president with over 80 percent of the rank-and-file vote.
The union made the announcement Friday night, citing preliminary results from an election held earlier in the day. The union has over 26,000 voting members, a release from the CTU said.
Lewis' new term begins in July and will last for another three years.
A finalized ballot tabulation will be released later in the week.
