Les Grobstein Show - 8/22/11 *MONDAY RANTS*
GROBBER'S MONDAY RANTS---August 22,2011
=====================================
***It's time for a return to the "New" Meadowlands Stadium for the Bears,but unlike last fall when they got shredded for eight sacks of Jay Cutler in the first half alone, this is just a meaningless Pre-Season event. A top priority is to get Cutler off the field in one piece before the third contest this Saturday at Tennessee. Offensive line and wide receiver play should be watched tonight.
***The Post Jim Hendry era is sort of under way,albeit with Randy Bush as interim General Manager of the Cubs. Bush will not be the new G.G., Cubs Chairman Tom Ricketts has confirmed that the new hire will come from the outside,which is likely a good thing.
***The White Sox followed up their three game skid by beating the defending A.L.Champion Texas Rangers twice,but with Detroit sweeping Cleveland over the weekend,the Sox head to Anaheim trailing the Tigers by five full games. Detroit will face the Tampa Bay Rays in St.Pete next. On Sunday,an explosive Rangers lineup was silenced by Gavin Floyd,who looked unhittable.
