Jordan Danks Called Up As De Aza Placed On DL
(CBS) The White Sox officially placed outfielder Alejandro De Aza on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday and recalled Jordan Danks from Triple-A Charlotte.
De Aza's injury is classified as bruised ribs. He previously complained of back issues. The move is retroactive to Aug. 18.
Danks returns to the White Sox have being optioned to Charlotte Aug. 12. He hit .265 with three RBI in 29 games with the White Sox. Shortly before being optioned to Charlotte, Danks hit a walk-off home run against the Oakland A's. It was his first and only major league home run.
De Aza is hitting .281 with six home runs, 44 RBI, 73 runs scored and 21 stolen bases in 111 games this season.
