Inmate Briefly Escapes Custody In Rolling Meadows

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A prisoner who was making an appearing in court on a drug charge briefly escaped from the courthouse in Rolling Meadows.

Authorities are searching or Jonathan Scott, 24, who ran out of the courthouse Wednesday afternoon.

He was in court after he was arrested for possession of controlled substance in Elk Grove Village.

Shortly before 5:30 p.m. authorities said Scott was caught a few minutes away from the courthouse in Arlington Heights.
