Hurricane-Like Winds Terrify Fans At Minor League Baseball Game
(WSCR) This was no ordinary night at the ball park.
Instead of enjoying a nice evening at a ball game, baseball fans at the Joliet Slammers-Southern Illinois Miners' matchup got a terrifying taste of how powerful Mother Nature can be on Friday night.
According to reports, hurricane-like winds ripped the tarp off the field during a seventh-inning rain delay, sending grounds crew members scurrying for safety.
