Highs in the 60s on Friday in Chicago
CHICAGO (CBS) — Following wind gusts of up to 65 miles per hour from Thursday night's storms in the area, the First Alert Weather team is tracking another risk of severe weather this weekend.
Clearing skies and drier weather are in the forecast Friday evening through early Saturday, then spring-like warmth surges back Saturday afternoon.
An approaching storm system will interact with the heat and humidity to fire thunderstorms in our area between 4 p.m. and midnight Saturday night, a few of which may be strong to severe. Wind damage and hail are the main concerns.
Sunday plans look lovely with cooler, dry weather behind a cold front. Periods of rain return much of next week.
