Glendale Heights man charged with vandalizing, stealing Flock cameras in western suburbs
A Glendale Heights has been charged with vandalizing and stealing several Flock Safety cameras in Chicago's western suburbs.
Hayden Green, 19, has been charged with three counts of theft of government property and three counts of criminal damage to government supported property.
Police said, on Aug. 14, he vandalized five Flock Safety cameras in Glendale Heights with spray paint. He also cut the wires to one of the cameras.
Green is also accused of cutting two cameras off of their poles, and shattering the glass of the solar panel on a pole-mounted speed radar unit and cutting the device's wires.
Police said he also spray painted, cut wires, and stole Flock license plate readers in nearby Bloomingdale and unincorporated DuPage County.
Green was arrested on Thursday. After his first court appearance on Friday, he was released from custody. He is due back in court on Sept. 14.
