Expert Picks: Majority Picking Bears To Bounce Back With Win

(CBS) While the Bears search for answers, our experts from 670 The Score, CBS2 and WBBM Newsradio 780 & 105.9 FM search for evidence suggesting the Bears can end their two-game slide. Here are their picks as the Bears return home to face the Minnesota Vikings:

Brian Hanley Dan McNeil Terry Boers
Vikings 20, Bears 13 Vikings 21, Bears 19 Bears 21, Vikings 20
Jared Allen rushing the QB and Adrian Peterson rushing the defense equal trouble for the Bears. Until they show they can do something to protect the quarterback and defend the run, I'm picking against the Bears. The Bears have to win on defense. We've seen enough to realize the Technicolor offense that was expected isn't going to happen this season. It certainly won't happen if they don't block Jared Allen. Adrian Peterson? Ouch. Because the Bears' offensive linemen apparently only block when the spirit moves them, I thought this would be the time to call on the late, great Dick York. "Bunky," he said, "Always pick the maddest team." OK, but I don't why he calls me Bunky.

Last Monday we found out the Bears don't fit with the NFL's elite. This Sunday we'll find out they can hang with the rest and beat most of them. They'll hold AP under 100 rushing and Jared Allen to no more than one sack. Total team effort to right the ship with Captain Campbell gives Jay Cutler another week to heal. With another week of reps, a game tape of FAIL to analyze, and the play-extending quarterback returned, the Bears O adjusts and regains some competence. The defense resumes their scoring ways to seal the deal.

An opponent with a good running game and attacking defensive line. What could go wrong? This time, however, the Bears overcome it. No way they lose three in a row. Please. Bears win by a field goal made by their kicker. While the Bears have been shuffling their offensive line around and looking for answers during a short week, the Vikings have had 14 days to prepare for this one. Unless the defense starts scoring points again, the Bears will lose.

Ryan Baker Megan Mawicke Josh Liss
Vikings 24, Bears 14 Bears 17, Vikings 13 Bears 21, Vikings 16
Lovie's bunch usually bounces back well from a butt kicking, but Adrian Peterson has another field day by the lakefront. Bears defense will bounce back from their Monday night embarrassment. The offense is still suspect with the starting QB uncertain but defense will bail them out. Jared Allen may get his, but a perked up passing game proves capable (enough). Brandon Marshall does the damage downfield with 16 catches, 190 yards and two touchdowns.
