Man Robs 2nd TCF Bank Branch In 2 Weeks

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man who robbed a bank last month on the Northwest Side is suspected of striking again Sunday afternoon, this time in the Dunning neighborhood.

The TCF Bank branch at 4734 N. Cumberland Ave. was robbed about 1:15 p.m., according to the FBI. The bank is inside a Jewel Osco.

The suspect threatened a weapon and was last seen walking out of the store's Montrose exit, according to the FBI.

He was described as a white man, about 40 years old, between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10 and 150 to 170 pounds.

The man is also suspected of robbing the TCF Bank branch at 7342 W. Foster Ave. about 11:30 a.m. Feb. 28, the FBI said.

In that robbery, he implied he had a weapon, but did not show one, police said. He was wearing a black hat with a "Comcast SportsCenter" logo, black sunglasses,a black zip-up sweatshirt, black gloves and a red t-shirt.

No one was injured in either robbery.
