Illinois Addressing The Problem Of Cyclists Being Hit By Car Doors
CHICAGO (CBS)--The word Dutch probably makes you think of holland, or perhaps the jump rope game Double Dutch.
But now the state of Illinois wants you to know about the "Dutch Reach."
Cyclists are sometimes knocked to the ground by people opening their car doors as they pass by. The "Dutch Reach" is a way to open your car door that could prevent a crash with a cyclist.
