Deng, Hinrich Out For Game 1
(CBS) When the Bulls take on the Heat in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals on Monday night, they'll be shorthanded.
Taking on the defending NBA champions, the Bulls will be without the services of Luol Deng, who continues to suffer from complications from a spinal tap, and Kirk Hinrich, who is recovering from a bruised calf.
"We're taking it day-by-day," head coach Tom Thibodeau said of Deng's status.
Hinrich underwent treatment during the Bulls morning shoot around in Miami, but was later ruled out.
"It's slow, steady progress," Thibodeau said. "But he's still not there."
Derrick Rose is also officially out for Game 1.
