The condo association sued, claiming Gold had failed to cooperate with efforts to exterminate the bugs, creating a larger problem throughout the building and obstructing the health and safety of other residents.
Attorney Ralph Schneider said Gold, 85, tried to comply but was in the hospital and then a nursing home and failed to get the notices about the spraying.
"There's a list of preparations, including taking the mattress and box springs off the bed and moving it around." Schneider said.
The agreement states that members have to help Gold prep her unit and give her 24 hours notice prior to an exterminator entering the unit.
The attorney for Park Tower Condominium Association declined to speak about the case.
