CPS Students Get Gift Of Music From Salvation Army

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Hundreds of Chicago Public School students are getting and giving the gift of music thanks to the Salvation Army.

At many schools, there would be no music classes for students if members of the Salvation Army Band wasn't there to assist.

The "Let The Music Begin" program has been teaching students from pre-kindergarten though eighth grade for 10 years.

The program is offered in eight to 10 Chicago schools.
