City officials to announces changes to CPS parental leave policy

CHICAGO (CBS)-- Changes to the Chicago Public Schools parental leave policy will be announced Thursday. 

Chief Pedro Martinez and Mayor Brandon Johnson will speak at City Hall at noon.

Back in January, under former- Mayor Lori Lightfoot, the Chicago Teachers Union emailed CPS, asking for expanded paid parental leave.
