Chilly temps in Chicago for Small Business Saturday shoppers
CHICAGO (CBS) — Dress warm this weekend as we experience the coldest temperatures in Chicago so far this season.
Saturday afternoon temperatures will consist of reaching highs in the middle 20s. When you tack on a westerly breeze sustained at 10 to 15 miles per hour and gusts as high as 20 mph, feels-like temperatures will range from 10 to 20 degrees. Even though sunshine is in the area today, a few passing light flurries can't be completely ruled out.
Temperatures drop back down into the teens for lows tonight, and wind chills will be near 0. In some outskirt locations, wind chills could drop as low as 5 degrees below 0. Partly cloudy skies remain again tonight, and Sunday will have very similar weather, with highs maxing out in the 20s.
No relief is in sight with our bone-chilling temperatures. Highs will remain near freezing as we start the new week, with a rain/snow mix possible on Wednesday.
