Chicago Weather: Sunny, Very Warm Day Ahead

CHICAGO (CBS)-- Temperatures are climbing Monday.

Monday's high temperatures will be near 90s degrees with lots of sunshine. Winds near the lake will help temperatures a bit cooler near the lakefront.

Higher humidity is expected on Tuesday with showers and storms possible in the afternoon and evening, as remnants from Tropical Storm Cirstobal move through the area. The high temperature will be near 86 degrees.

There is a slight risk of severe storms to the south of the city on Tuesday, with gusty winds possible, and heavy rains causing flooding concerns.

Showers are expected to continue into Wednesday with a cool down following for the rest of the week. Humidity also will drop after Wednesday, with a cool and crisp weekend ahead.
