Chicago Fourth-Grader Dies Of Meningitis
(CBS) – A student at a Humboldt Park school has died of meningitis.
Nine-year-old Desire Jackson attended Morton School of Excellence on the West Side.
The fourth-grader died Wednesday from a non-contagious case of meningitis.
The public health department says there is no public health risk.
A Go Fund Me account has been set up to help pay for the funeral.
