Chicago Area Storms Cause Power Outages, Flight Delays
(CBS) -- The bursts of thunderstorms that hit the Chicago region Wednesday evening left thousands without power and caused delays at the city's two airports.
Seventy ComEd crews were scattered throughout the utility's northern Illinois service area after nearly 7,000 customers were left without power.
Meanwhile, the storms downed trees and created standing pools of water along roadways. Trees knocked over headstones at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Sandwich, Ill.
Flights were delayed at both O'Hare International and Midway airports.
