'Starved Rock Killer' Chester Weger Denied Parole Again

CHICAGO (CBS)--One of the state's longest-serving inmates has been denied parole again.

Chester Weger, 79, is serving a life sentence for 1960 murders of three Riverside women at Starved Rock State Park.

The Illinois prisoner today appeared before a prisoner review board, which voted 7-7--one vote short--of the majority needed for parole.

Today marked the second time the parole board has been evenly divided on his release. All of Weger's requests have been denied since 1972.
