Burglars target bar in Chicago's Garfield Ridge neighborhood

Chicago police on Thursday were investigating a break-in at a bar in the Garfield Ridge neighborhood.

The burglary took place at Tom's Tap, at 6707 W. Archer Ave. A burglar smashed the front glass door, and officers found an open cash register at the scene.

Police said no suspects were present when they arrived.

It was unclear how much money was stolen.

Wentworth Area detectives were investigating.
