Buena Park's St. Mary Of The Lake Parish Opens Food Pantry Amid COVID-19 Pandemic
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Many people have lost their jobs due to the shutdown caused by the COVID-19 crisis, and many are in need of food.
On Sunday, St. Mary of the Lake Parish, 4220 N. Sheridan Rd., opened a pop-up food pantry in their Buena Park community to help those families put food on the table.
At least 500 people lined up to receive food.
The pantry will open every Sunday at 3 p.m. as long as the pandemic persists.
