Brighton Park Man Killed In SW Side Motorcycle Crash

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was killed Monday in a Southwest Side motorcycle crash roughly a mile from his Brighton Park neighborhood home.

Joel Ibarra Jr., 24, was riding a motorcycle when he was hit by a car about 3:15 p.m. in the 3500 block of South Archer Avenue, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Ibarra, of the 2900 block of West 36th Street, was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. where he was pronounced dead about half an hour later, according to the medical examiner's office.

Circumstances surrounding the crash were not immediately known Monday evening.
