Bowen: Bears Better Prepare For Physical Rams

(WSCR) No one will mistake the Rams for having a top-1o defense.

That doesn't mean the Bears offense should look past their Week 3 foe. Under new coach Jeff Fisher, the Bears should expect a physical game, with shots periodically taken after the whistle.

"I played against the Titans a bunch in my career," Bowen told The Mully and Hanley Show. "I don't know how it played out like that, but I always called them 'cold tub games.' They're very physical. If you're a player, you're going to get in the cold tub on Monday because they're going to hit. They play through the whistle a little bit."

Bowen said the Bears must keep an eye on Cortland Finnegan, who Fisher brought over from Tennessee. Finnegan is a tough, physical cornerback who tries relentlessly to get under the opposing team's skin.

"That's kind of Cortland Finnegan's calling card - the corner that they paid a bunch of money to bring over from Tennessee," Bowen said. "He's have a great season so far, only two weeks in. He's making plays on the football. He's drawing penalties. He'll get in guys' faces. He'll get in guys' ears. That's what he does. That's what he brings to the stadium on Sundays.
